Some of the points from Mufti Menk's lecture at Assyafaah on 31st May 2014.
- When people spat at you, what you do is pray for them. And pray that you would not be among them.
- When someone thinks differently from you (about any matter), do not insult them because that act will only create hatred.
- Do not judge - Some people may have committed serious sins for years but when they repent, they may be thousand times better than you.
- When someone is addicted into intoxicated things, do pray for them. Engage, advice and do what it takes to cure the addiction.
- Learn to greet. Even when you get funny and insulting replies from them, just ignore those negativity because your act is what matters and might be a change.
- When people swear at you, do not fight back. Don't ever add fuel to the burning fire but turn it off. Just smile and go as you do not wish to create an issue out of petty things.
- If you want to change the world, change your attitude first.
- When people discriminate you, rise yourself up.
- When you are facing a situation where you do not know what to answer, just keep quiet.
