Love Allah Most by Yasmin Mogahed

I miss Irsyad. I miss the school. I miss the people there. And everything fell into place.
Since they were searching for volunteers for Yasmin Mogahed's #ilmtourtotheeast2015 event, why not right? Good to see my teachers around and juniors performing on stage last Sunday (26th April 2015) :DD

Before Yasmin Mogahed actually speaks, 3 beautiful sisters from Canada, Syria and Singapore actually presented some poems and Masya Allahhh this one poem really caught my attentionnn *_*
I mean you need to just watch the video below:

A few pointers from Yasmin Mogahed's "Love Allah Most":

- Anything we love is a test for us.

- If we say we do not have time for Allah, it means that we have to RE-ORIENT OUR PRIORITIES.

- In one of the verses of Surah At-Taubah, Allah has listed 8 things for us to love. What's interesting is.... all 8 of them are halal (do look up for the things hehe).

- When we break our own hearts because of loving someone/something (as we should only love Allah the most), we can't blame anyone for that but ourselves.

- Those very things that we love most become what hurts us the most. They become the reason we can't sleep. They become the reason that we had so much anxiety. That is because we have taken them and put them in a place they were not supposed to be.
Example 1: If you love your business the most, it will become the reason why you can't sleep. You'll be terrified of losing one cent and stay all night worrying and thinking how am I gonna make more money.
Example 2: If you love your children more than Allah in striving in His course, your children will hurt you most and they will be the reason you can't sleep at night.
This is because you love them more than you love Allah.

Asshaddu Hubban Lillaah
My deepest love is for Allah:
You want Allah most. No matter what happens, you want and choose Allah first.

When we go through hardships, how do we know if Allah is angry with me? Or is Allah punishing me? Or is it a test from Allah?
Answer: It depends on your response - whether the hardship brings you closer to Allah or drifts you apart from Allah.
Response 1: He questions Allah in angst - "Why do you give me such hardship?!"
Response 2: He responds with patience.
Response 3: He's contented & redha.

Now, ask yourself. Which response do you always give when facing hardships? :D
