Bismillah...
It has been three months, and many things have happened within the timeline. Both good and bad things, and I'm blessed with whatever I have now. Everything happens for a reason. Alhamdulillah. :')
Some of the prominent updates of my life:
1. Accepting the fact: I've learnt to accept the fact that nenek has left us already. And also the fact that bibik has also left us, which means that adik and me have to be independant youths now. I admit, its a bit weird and unusual to wake up seeing no one at home (cos my parents go to work early & i 'happened' to wake up late) but I guess this has to be the'change' of my routine. Now, I need to learn how to cook, at least a simple fried rice or fried pasta. Other than that, I've learnt to appreciate my parents more (i hope so). Cos I realised that usually, we'll only feel the loss when something/someone is not around, but, we took them for granted when they were. :)
2. Ghurabakes Online Bakery on Instagram: A few of my close friends (Amirah, Muslihah & Zahirah) and I have set up this online bakery shop early this year, out of fun! Haha. Since we became close, we kinda love to try new stuff, and one of the many stuff we tried was baking, and it was heavenly fun. So, we've decided to open a shop and Alhamdulillah, the response was and still is wonderful. Our current hot sealing treats are the oreo cheesecakes and caramel cookie bar. Selling at $1.80 and $2 each, respectively. You can browse through our album on instagram: @ghurabakes :)
3. Food for the soul: You guys have to agree that other than being knowledgeable about the world and in academics, one has to be good in their deen (religion) too. Eversince I got enrolled into poly, I felt something missing out of me. There's this empty space in my soul that hungers for the 'ilm (knowledge) of Islam. Therefore, I've told my mum that I wanna take up another diploma (part-time) in Islamic studies. It's a 4 year diploma, once a week. And I've started it last January and have completed my 2nd module (having exams this week!). So far, I really enjoyed the lessons. Especially those modules that were thought during my secondary school days in madrasah. I miss those subjects! Other than that, I've been attending free religious class at houses and mosques, in hope that those will help feed my soul too. Insya Allah kheir. :)
4. Driving license: I've registered myself for what I've been wanting to do since I was little. Which is to be able to drive! Now that I always travel to SSDC (singapore safety driving center), it gets more exciting and I'm more eager to start driving! Actually I registered last year Oct and went for the BTT in december, without attending any theory classes, cos im cool like that. Haha, no lah. Because I registered online and i was so clueless about the actual procedure. And I actually just studied from the book & via e-learning. To make it worst, it was a last minute study. So, you wont be surprise to hear that I failed my first BTT. 42/50. Four marks to passing mark. But it's okay. I've attended the first lesson and did the trial test. Now I'm left with the second lesson and my second BTT. Will apply for PDL starightaway once I pass it! Wee. :)
5. Mobile app making: Before ghurabakes even started, I actually have a business plan already. It was set up early last year if I'm mistaken, initiated by Rufaidah. This business plan is very interesting and I really hope that we will be able to execute it soon. I shall not disclose it until it is officially official. :)
6. Islamic callihraphy design: You guys may have known that I also take orders for those who request me to do khat right? Alhamdulillah, I cant thank Allah enough for all the opportunities given thus far. Since my secondary school days up till now, opportunities are always there. Like what a malay saying goes: "Rezeki tak ke mana." I was contacted by an owner of a wall decals online shop earlier today to be their freelance khat designer. And of course, I shouldnt give this a miss right? I accept the challenge and will resume with the design tonight. :)
Alright I guess thats about all for now. Life is short and we have to make a full use out of it to try new things and taste the wonders of the world. Not forgetting to be good in both ukhrawi and dunyawi. Till then, Wassalam.
p/s: Excited for the reunion outing with the anggunitas tmrw to the zoo! I think, the last time I went there was during my primary school days seh, haha.
