So the family was doing some spring cleaning yesterday and my mum found an A5 writing book which is wrapped in red. Guess what? It's my journal book from secondary 2! Well basically, my English teacher made us write journals about anything (hobby, future, favorites, events etc) last time and she will read through everyone's entry and left some constructive comments at the end. Missing her and her lessons now, can I rewind back to the good old times? Okay no.

Here's one of the entries I've written which talks about 'future' hahaha. Surprisingly, it kinda contradicts with what I'm really doing now. Have a read! :)
(I'll slit in some unnecessary comments in between just 'cos I wanna hee)

My Future

Future is something that teenagers nowadays tend to forget about. They want to enjoy their life as youngsters and not care about their future. Sometimes, I myself am worry about what's in store for me. There are so many smart people in Singapore now which makes the standard goes higher. Standard in results (O levels), in schools, working life, salary and many more. Hence, we have to study smart. (I've always noticed that my writing pattern has never changed. Must have the flowery-flowery words at the beginning lol)

Actually, I had an ambition of becoming a teacher. (Hahaha basically everyone wanted to be a teacher last time) But my mum says that teacher is a common career as many teenagers and students aim in teaching too. If the demand for that job is quite, the chance of getting that job is low. (Datz right mummy!) So now, I want to think of another job that offers a high salary, something that not many people do and towards the religious side. For me, it's a waste if you studied in a Madrasah for 11 years but work as a deejay or an artist. Eventhough the pay is good, it's not Islamic. (Alamak this girl ah, always talk about pay one *facepalm*)

Now, Singapore is looking for interpreters where they will need to translate articles, news or work in hospitals as a translator for foreign expatriates. It's quite a good job to consider. And I heard, the salary is quite high too. (See, I did it again oops $$$) Maybe if I were to go to Al-Azhar University, I can consider that job after returning back. Perhaps. (Frankly speaking, ideky I mentioned Al-Azhar. It has never been in my list as far as I remember? Hahaha)

Summary of the Journal (oh it was written in 2008 btw):
  • So many contradictions in an entry
  • Makes me look like some money-minded girl
  • What ever happened to my ambition of becoming an interpreter? Lol.

The best companions

“And keep yourself patient [by being] with those who call upon their Lord in the morning and the evening, seeking His countenance. And let not your eyes pass beyond them, desiring adornments of the worldly life, and do not obey one whose heart We have made heedless of Our remembrance and who follows his desire and whose affair is ever [in] neglect.”

I'm truly blessed to be given the opportunity to be friend with a group of wise people, who never failed in reminding each other about our dean and anything beneficial. Being a weak individual who needs guidance 24/7, this is urgency. I thank Allah for blessing my life every now and then.

Let’s just initial them as ‘’ITS’’
They are actually a group of people I was introduced to early this year through a group on whatsapp. I only knew 4 out of 29 initially (because these 4 were also from Irsyad lol). Well I gotta admit that it was quite awkward at first, but their chumminess made me feel like I've known them for years. We've been conversing through whatsapp only until last weekend where most of us actually met for the first time in person! Indeed, they are such beautiful ladies in and out.

We actually had a staycation at The Sultan Hotel to surprise Sis Maya (the bride-to-be) by having a ‘halal’ bachelorette party hehe. The whole planning process was 60% done through whatsapp can you believe it! All thanks to them committed girls for initiating great stuff in making this party a success - especially Bash for triggering the idea. I didn’t really contribute much other than making myself present hahaha I’m so sorry! Hope to contribute more in the upcoming events Insya Allah :)

Here are some pictures from the event. Some were taken by me while the rest are courtesy of Bash. ^^,

p/s: Its been exactly a year since nenek left us. I truly, truly miss her presence. She's like the closest to me since birth. Ema doakan agar nenek ditempatkan bersama orang-orang yang beriman di sana. Kakak rindu nenek. Rasanya macam baru semalam nenek pergi )':
