#Krabs2k17

Two years of university has ended and it was pretty much the worst phase of my life (thus far) but with blessings in disguise. Doing something that u're not really passionate about ain’t cool but that's a whole different story, which is better off written in a separate post. This post is all about my recent summer vacation, yay! And I can't believe my beach holiday has ended in a blink of an eye. I still remember being super excited about it last April! Also, for the record, I've always been the 'city girl' who prefers traveling in the city/town. But this time, it was totally a different agenda which I was skeptical about at first. But yknow what, I should try on new things right?! And I’m actually glad we went to Krabi cuz the experience was way way priceless and memorable!

Ok now let's get into the whole 5D4N vacation shall we!?
Railay Beach, Thailand

Flight was at 3pm. Reached Krabi 1.5 hours later. The weather failed on us as it was raining?! But ok la not too bad because touch-down day wasn’t filled with activities so we were safe. Checked in into our hotel, loved the room and everything. And next, we were headed to the famous Krabi Town market to indulge on some street food! Plenty of halal vendors are available and the food tastes decent as well, definitely a must-go when you’re in Krabi!

Krabi is definitely one of the islands filled with fun and adventures. Just be prepared to get dirty and please use suitable clothing. Things there are not that cheap so yeah its better to bring your own clothes from home. Island tours and activities can be booked at the airport after your arrival. The agents will arrange your schedule nicely for the rest of the trip so you don't need to worry about having nothing to do there! They have plenty of activities aligned for you. As long as you have the cash and are adventurous enough, you're all safe!

Bangkok Trip!

I just got back from Bangkok yestermidnight and I swear it felt like time traveled faster there lol. The 5D4N trip ended in a blink and I can say that I enjoyed myself there! We pretty much covered most of their attractions, so the trip was all worth it! Thanks to these bunch for being great travel buddies - Atiq, Rafie and Min.

Day 1

Diamond City Hotel: I rate this hotel 3.5 for the friendly smiles, good service and decorations. It would have been better if the location is more accessible and extra facilities like gym, better swimming pools and garden are provided. But you get what you pay la kan. $90 per person for 4 nights with breakfast included, I can say that this is quite a good deal, tak cerewet.

MBK Center Mall: It is said to be one of the biggest malls there. We went here for our first halal meal at a quite 'atas' place. The food tasted good but pricier, approx. $10 per person. But considering the ambiance, how they display the food and the taste, I don't mind spending on this.

Asiatique (Calypso): At first, we went to their 'Sentosa' which is called Asiatique. The place looks so UK-ish its great for photo taking! From the BTS station (train station), we had to ride a boat to the place weee. Catched their Calypso show (something like bapok show) after walking around the place and finally cabbed back to the hotel. Oh one thing about cabbing there, most of the driver will not take you if they have to go through heavy traffics especially at night. There was one time where we only get a taxi after being rejected for like.... 5 times? -.-

Day 2

Madame Tussaud: I've always wanted to experience Madame Tussaud since my Hong Kong trip 2 years ago. So, we bought the ticket online few days before the trip to get 30% off and a good package which includes free hand waxing and a picture taken by their officials. I personally love the wax making! They freaking froze your hands then dipped it in a hot water to get the wax built. Quite interesting ah the process.

Siam Ocean World: Its something like sea aquarium. I've never been to Singapore's so I cant do a comparison. But all I can say is, the place is damn huge and its like a long indoor trail. The place is located in a shopping center and I'm still amazed by the fact that they could do this in a shopping center. Cool gitu kan.

Terminal 21: This shopping mall is different cos different level represents different countries like UK, US, Istanbul, China etc. Its like you experience the atmosphere of each countries in one mall. Things are pricier here so we did not shop for anything. Just for picture taking purposes. We were saving all the shopping for Chatuchak weekends market!

Day 3

Chatuchak Weekend Market: This is said to be the biggest shopping place (its like pasar malam but in the day) with over 10,000 stalls and its only opened on the weekends. Its a must-visit place for people who loves shopping like me! Plus things are cheaper here and you can bargain all you want then just walk away if they insist. They might just change their mind and chase you back, lol! But you will get extremely tired cos the place is so hot and stuffy. We walked for 5 straight hours and seriously cannot tahan already after that. Good thing we managed to get a few things there.

Union Mall: After Chatuchak, we cabbed to union mall where you can rarely spot any tourist. Most of the people there are locals and the things there are priced at a normal rate. You can't really bargain there la, I mean, the shop owners won't bother if you just walk away pun. It's like our Bugis Street but cheaper and so we continued shopping there till night. And oh, we had A&W after yearsssssss.

Day 4

Platinum Mall: We went to this mall to get some last minute stuff like souvenirs and shawls! The halal food there is limited but okay lah just go get the tourist sim card for the unlimited 7 days mobile data and google je for halal places!

Pratunam Market: This market is a smaller version of chatuchak but since we went to chachutak already, I didn't find this place that interesting. Maybe cos I've shopped for similar stuff the day before.

Massage: After the long walks, we decided to stop by a massage place for some relaxation. The place is damn classy lah hahaha we actually asked the taxi driver to recommend us a place and he brought us to an expensive place lol but its all worth it! Still cheaper as compared to SG so no fuss.

Day 5

MBK Center Mall (again): Since its our last day, we decided to chill at the nearest mall and have a good meal. Ended up having seafood from Yana Restaurant and I think that's the best meal of the trip. We walked around the mall afterwards to search for souvenirs but haiz didn't get any that caught our eyes in the end so nehmind. And whats a Thailand trip without trying their mango sticky rice right?! That was our last dessert in Bangkok and you can never go wrong with mango and juices. (Y)

Suvarnabhumi Airport: Last destination, airport! And off we head back homeee!

Bye Thailand, till we meet again? :)
